Welcome to Urban Oak School, a long-awaited school in Cleveland Heights based on the Waldorf philosophy. After offering programming for toddlers for over one year, Urban Oak has leased space for nursery, preschool/kindergarten, and grade-school programs in the former Coventry elementary school building and is now enrolling for its inaugural 2013-2014 school year, serving students from ages three through grade two. A wonderful group of families will travel this first year together, and grow together as Urban Oak expands each year to reach grade eight. We have designed our opening year to welcome and support a small number of families, and there are just a few openings left — please contact us to find out whether Urban Oak is a fit for your family!
Please take a minute to scroll through this site, learn about Urban Oak’s history, and see what programs we offer! With your help, we will write the next chapter in our adventure and your name will be added to its pages.
Our school has been driven by a vision of beauty and perseverance: a belief in the beauty and effectiveness of an education based on the Waldorf philosophy, and the will to create such a school in our neighborhood. Please join our vibrant and growing community by donating today. Your donation will literally help us build the walls that will become our school. Any amount is appreciated! We thank you for your passion and support.
